Trip to the Pumpkin patch with Riley!

The school that I teach at and Riley also attends, takes a yearly field trip to the Orr Family Farm in Moore, Oklahoma every fall. We could not wait for this fun trip and the weather could not have been more beautiful! Riley surprised me by her fearlessness and ease to adapt to any situation. She is such a great kid and I loved spending the day with her!

We got to go on a hayrack ride out to pick a pumpkin. Due to the drought this summer, pick-ins were slim!

But she didn't mind! She found the perfect one!

Then we had to play on the playground of course!

Instead of Waldo.....Where's Riley?

The animal barn was where she amazed me the most. Most kids are a bit scared of animals. Not Riley! 

That pic of her holding the chicken cracks me up! I could not believe it! She just scooped him up like a natural chicken....er, catcher?

Next! Off to the Super Slides! (which were SO muddy on the inside)

She would have done that all day, but when I told her she would be riding home in her undies she decided to stop! She got so muddy!

SO Big!



Our last adventure was on the Bouncy Pillows! Up she scrambled! I for sure thought she would be scared that the bigger kids would knock her off...but No Way! She loved it!

It's days like these that she will never forget! Loved spending the day with my  Riley girl. It's not about "presents" but your "presence" that truly mean the most!
